Growing up....

I am 19 years old and started school in Khangela Primary School and completed matric at Botleng Secondary. I grew up in a big family, with my mother, father and 10 siblings. We were living in a two room shack with no furniture, we all slept on the floor. As a child I used to go to school without even having had a slice of bread. A teacher recognised my situation and started bringing a lunch box for me, which helped me to concentrate in class. When I was still in Primary School I used to dream of becoming successful in life and building my parents a beautiful home!

Falling pregnant!

In Grade 12 things started going wrong! I started doing bad things behind my parents' backs, that's when I fell pregnant. I realized that God was trying to show me something.. I told myself that from now on I would change. I left all the bad manners, friends and boyfriends behind. I started to give my parents the respect, love and truth that they deserved.
Being a teenage mom and single parent helped me to make up my mind. I want to follow God and know that I am forgiven and free from condemnation. I asked God to teach me His plan for my life.

Becoming a Born to Care Volunteer!

Being a Born to Care Volunteer is a blessing from God, I feel this is the place where God wants to use me. Born to Care made me realize that I can do all things through Jesus Christ. Going into Schools teaching and telling the children the truth has inspired me because I teach them most of the things that I went through. So when I talk to them, I talk with pride and when I say something, I say it loud and proud, because I want them to get the message. I have to warn them not to make the same mistakes before it is too late........

I want to make my parents proud of me because they gave me the opportunity to go to school unlike themselves, who are uneducated.
I thank God for my wonderful and understanding parents, I know all is possible because I am loved with an everlasting love and I am strong in the Lord.
