HOW CAN YOU HELP?

As with all charitable non-profit organisations, Born 2 Care is solely reliant on the generosity of the Greater Delmas community it functions within and the selfless hours of hard work offered by their volunteers.
For Born 2 Care to grow and further transform the community, so too, does the generosity granted to Born 2 Care need to grow and transform.

Financial Contributions

Born 2 Care's budget is spread very thin and financial aid is always welcome. You can assist us in the following manners:

• Deposit into our bank account (ABSA Delmas, Branch Code: 334-244, Account Number: 407 0924 721)
• Cash donations
• Vodacom Airtime Vouchers

Physical Needs

Born 2 Care needs non-financial contributions from the community such as the following:

• 2nd hand clothing for our Clothing Closet and Jumble Sales
• Teddy Bears and old toys
• Office supplies
• Bibles, in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa and any other language
• Baby clothing, blankets and baby care basics
• Help with our OVC Care Plan - non-perishable foodstuffs, blankets, school supplies, basic toiletries, etc.

Volunteering Opportunities

At Born 2 Care there are many ways in which a person can lend a hand. The volunteer work can be customized to each individual's hours they have available each week, their unique skills or abilities and comfort level.
The following are a few examples of how an individual can offer to volunteer:

• OFFICE STAFF
  We need people to man our office during office hours should we have walk in clients and to do other general admin duties.
• COUNSELLOR
  We offer training for counsellors as well as an established support system with experienced counsellors.
• CARE GIVER
  For our OVC Project we require dedicated volunteers who are passionate about helping children. As a caregiver you will be assigned children in YOUR area that you will need to visit at least once a week and assess their needs.
• SCHOOL PROGRAMMES
  As laid out under "What we do" above, at the School Ministry we need volunteers to run our programmes in schools. At pre-school level, we need moms to run the Jerry Giraffe Programme in their child's playgroup and in schools we have the Wiggly Worm Programme and Undiluted for High Schools, which can also be run by educators or mothers.
• HOSPITAL SUPPORT TEAM
  Born 2 Care strives to maintain a vibrant presence in our local public hospital and therefore need as many volunteers as possible to visit the maternity ward at the Bernice Samuel Hospital. Volunteers can visit alone, or in teams, any time of day and for however long they consider necessary. Our volunteers have had such amazing experiences at the hospital over the years and love spreading the Gospel in a place where the miracle of Life occurs on a daily basis!
• INTERCESSION TEAM MEMBER
  At Born 2 Care we have an inspirational team that carries every aspect of our ministry to the Lord in prayer. We welcome everyone to participate in our weekly prayer meetings on a Friday morning to come and experience the power of prayer first hand.
